You should be able to find something in the middle that will be comfortable for your guests yet doesn’t cost that much money. A basic cotton sheet set, along with a comforter or a blanket, should be sufficient for your purposes. You might even find a sheet set that will add some style and color to the room, although it should still be subtle.

Provide Storage Space
You want to provide any guests who stay in your guest bedroom with some storage and closet space. If you typically store your own items in the bedroom’s closet, you might want to think about storing them elsewhere to give your guests the space. Of course, much of this will depend on a number of factors, including who the guest is and how long he or she is staying. For example, if you’re hosting a family member for a day or two, then storage space may not matter. On the other hand, if you have an out-of-town guest who’s staying for a week or longer, you’ll want to provide them with ample storage space.
