The Vita Mix line of juicers are more expensive than most juicers. Starting at a whopping $350 for their cheapest model and going up to $600 it seems like a lot to pay just for a blender. There’s a reason it’s priced that high and a reason that people are buying them.

This juicer is an extremely sturdy and effective piece of kitchen machinery. The warranties on these blenders range from 3 to 7 years so they don’t break very often. They’re also rated very highly in customer satisfaction. Just visit any online shopping site and take a look at the reviews left by real people to see how much the owners of these juicers love them.

These blenders can make a whole range of foods including smoothies, desserts, salsas, soups, beverages, and much more. Each model also comes with a free cookbook with 300 different recipes for you to try out. The blades are laser cut and are so powerful that they can chop up seeds and nuts.

One bad side that these juicers have is that they are definitely very loud. This isn’t a complaint among most of the customers though because it’s so powerful that you don’t have to leave it on very long. Quieter blenders need to be left on for longer periods of time because they’re not as powerful. Which is why they’re so quiet!

The Vita Mix line is also very easy to clean and store. If you’re looking to get a new blender for your home you should definitely give this line a try, and don’t be afraid to ask around.

Brandon writes for the Vita Mix juicer website where he has descriptions on each of the Vita Mix juicers including the popular Vita Mix 4500.

Part of my approach to energy conservation is to limit my purchases of electric gadgets. I know it’s in a man’s genes to buy gadgets. It’s also a time-honored American tradition to take something that works well manually and turn it into a consumer product that uses electricity. Nevertheless, if you’re interested in reducing your electrical energy consumption, you’ll want to be very selective as to what you buy, and only buy something that requires electricity when it’s warranted.

Here are a handful of examples of where electric gadgets just aren’t necessary or desirable:

The electric can opener. It’s bulky, hard to clean and takes up space on the counter. When you have a can to open, you must bring the can over to where you have the can opener plugged in. If you go on a picnic, what good is the electric can opener? I find a mechanical can opener much easier and more convenient to use and clean. It’s highly portable and it can be popped into the dishwasher. It resides in a nearby drawer, so it’s ready when you are, but doesn’t take up room on the counter. And, it doesn’t occupy an electrical outlet either.

Plug-in air fresheners. For years we were happy with air fresheners that simply evaporated. How easy is that? Now, we have plug-in air fresheners that heat up the material to vaporize it. The use of electricity doesn’t make the product any better, it just appears to be higher technology. Worse yet, since you need an outlet to operate it, the design of the gadget limits where it can be placed in a room.

Electricity doesn’t necessarily make things better. It seems to me that my disposable razors, mechanical pencil sharpener and manual paper stapler work just fine. They won’t be improved with the addition of electricity.

It’s up to each of us to make good decisions about how much electric cord, how many outlets, and how much electricity we’re going to dedicate to having a plug-in and rechargeable world all around us. In many cases, energy conservation starts with what we purchase and how it operates. For me, many of the traditionally designed manual items work just fine and don’t need a cord or a battery pack.

Clair Schwan is an expert in frugal living and writes http://www.frugal-living-freedom.com where the motto is, “…living well, and well within your means…” See his many ways to save energy that are simple and effective, and provide good return on investment of your hard-earned money.

If you are decorating a room with a vintage theme then you will probably need a vintage lamp or two. There are two styles of lamps that can accomplish this for you, either a vintage lamp, or just a vintage style lamp will do the trick.

A vintage lamp is one that is just that vintage, or in other words old. These lamps can be in poor condition and may need some work done on them, or you can get them in great condition and ready to use. Since these lamps are usually one-of-a-kind I can’t list lamps you can get here, but a will list a few places you can find them.

Amazon- This will usually have a couple lamps like this but you will usually have to sort through new lamps as well.

eBay- This site always has a ton of vintage lamps, however, you need to make sure that what you are getting is quality since there is a lot of crap listed.

VintageLights.com- This site has a lot of neat vintage light fixtures and lamps. It also has catalogs and books you can look through from the early 1900’s.

A vintage style lamp is a new lamp that is just modeled and painted to look vintage. These lamps can be bought just about anywhere and can match any room. Some selections you can consider are:

Vintage Mickey Lamp Base and Shade- This is a very nice looking lamp that has an older style mickey swinging a bat on a green base that has blue trim. It also comes with a red lampshade and works well for a red, white and blue styled nursery or kids room.

Vintage Americana Lamp- This lamp features red, white and blue in flag style decor all over the lamp. The base is a big block that has red and white stripes with a blue stripe and white stars across the top. Then is comes with a white shade that features flags and blue trim with white stars. This would go great in a living room or sitting room.

Quoizel Vintage Embroidery Table Lamp- This lamp is a European vintage style and looks absolute incredible. It has an elaborate candelabra style body and a tan shade with green and eggplant colored vines going up it. It measures 16 inches high and would look lovely in any room.

If you would like to know more then you can visit one of my sites at vintage table lamp or vintage desk lamp.

Gone are the days when carpet used to be the first choice of most people to install in their home. Nowadays Hardwood flooring is one of the most popular options. There are pros and cons of each type and the prices of each can vary significantly. So before you go out and install new Berber carpet in your home, learn about other more fashionable and stylish options which can also be just as affordable as carpet.

Carpet designs can go out of style in a few short years but hard wood flooring will always be in style. If you ever notice any changes to your Hardwood floor, you can apply a new finish and recoat it to restore its brilliance.

Cleaning and caring for your carpet is a much tougher job than cleaning a wood floor. Even though most carpets are stain resistant, your kids will find a way to stain it right where everyone can see it as they walk in the room.

Then you have to call a professional steam cleaner to come in to clean up the mess. This can set you back a couple hundred bucks pretty easily. These carpet maintenance costs will likely offset any savings you were looking for compared to the cost of installing Hardwood flooring in the first place.

This does not mean that wide plank or bamboo is the perfect choice all the time. If you have little ones running around the house and they slip, they can get hurt by falling on hard wood surface compared to a cushioned carpet surface. You can remedy these situations by buying an area rug and putting it in high-traffic areas where your kids are likely to run around and fall.

Carpet prices can be as low as $1 per square foot with another $.50 to $1 per square foot for padding and installation. It goes up from there depending on what extra features you want like stain resistance and water resistance.

Hardwood flooring prices can also be as low as $1 per square foot for laminate flooring and up to $5 or more for hand scraped wood. Installation can run you $1 per square foot and up. The final decision will be based on your fashion tastes and how much you like cleaning your floor. Hardwood has lower maintenance costs while carpet requires you to vacuum it at least once a week if not more.

If you plan to stay in the home for a while and like a comparable cushion when you take your socks and shoes off, then carpet may be for you. If you plan to sell your home soon, and Hardwood flooring may be your best choice as it will be the most desirable by potential buyers.

There are so many choices when it comes to flooring. I’ve given you a few tips to help you decide between carpet and hardwood. Now it’s time to learn about other types of flooring that you may not have considered.

Next, learn about Specialty Flooring for your home. Visit http://www.specialty-flooring.com/ today to compare prices on the top names in flooring including: Armstrong, Bruce, Pergo, Epoxy, Mohawk, Shaw, and Empire.

Shutters would be used in most parts in the world to block out light, keep out cold air and even in to keep out dust from entering your home. While most folks buy shutters for a purpose, most protectors would also decorate your house. While buying shutters it’s important in to keep a couple of things in mind thus that you choose and get what you require. Here in this article, we will have elaborated some guidelines which will help you in choosing the right shutter for your home.

The very first tip is to know and as well as understand your needs that you should choose a shutter that would really fulfill and match all your requirements. If you would buy window shutters for someone who is already old or disabled perhaps, then you should prefer the one that are automatic. But if you are in a budget then you can go buy faux or plywood window protectors since these two options are still viable for you. And if you are looking for attractive and customized shutters, then you can go for Roman shades. These shades are really attractive and still prevent light and dust from entering the house. Roman shades also insulate the house well which means that you will have to spend less on electrical heating.

The second tip is the requirement to match the interiors of the house with the shutters that you are planning to buy. Most of the people that are buying shutters in order to prevent some external elements in entering the house often forget to match it with the interiors of the house. Knowing that these shutters comes in a variety of colors and patterns, then you have all the freedom to select the one that appears to be attractive. It is always advisable to buy products from a shop that provides correct details of their products. You may also want to contact someone from the online store if you have more questions about the product you are planning to buy. Most online stores are more than happy to help customers who are genuinely interested in buying their products.

The fourth ad last tip is to buy window protectors that are easy to install. Since you will most likely have to install your own window protectors you will need to find a product that you can install yourself. If you plan to get someone to install the shutter then you may want to ask for the shop for contact information of reliable installers.

For more information on shutter solutions please visit http://www.shuttersolutionsnow.com

Whenever you construct a new roof, the value of your home gets enhanced. If there is any damage existing in the roof that might results in shingle loss or water leakage then instantly the roof should be repaired. If in case, the roof is severally damaged and cannot be repaired anymore, then it is wise to change that to a new roof. However, when you decide to build a new roof one of the most vital aspect that you should consider is the cost of new roof.

The option of building a new roof becomes obvious when the old shingles of the roof losses their ability for sealing the roof against moisture or heat. Therefore, at that time there is no other way apart than to go for a new roof. However, the cost factor of the new one depends on the big factor of determining the final cost.

For making any order of large purchase comfortably, it is necessary to plan the budget carefully. So, while purchasing a new roof isn’t an exception. Taking into consideration of the new roof material, it is important to examine the current financial condition and the urgency of the roof replacement. When you are able to analyze the situation both practically and financially, then you can decide on how you can allocate the expenses of your new roof plans.

There are some of the important features that you need to understand and determine while analyzing the cost of new roof. Therefore, here are few suggestions:

Stability: The condition of the current roof figures prominently about the cost of the new roof. In case of the older homes the roof figures prominently and there are more layers shingles, resulting in the need of wearing and tearing off the multiple layers. Additionally, if the current roof looks dilapidated or it has been leaked in the past, there are structures where you can install new shingles and that will add to the cost.

Restrictions: Check out the local building authority as it determines the maximum number of shingle layers that are allowed on the roof of your area. There are even some communities that will allow you to install one single layer of shingles over an existing layer. This will help you to reduce the cost as there is no further job of wear and tear involved in it. However, you need to be careful because double shingles can increase the weight of your roof and in some cases it may be unsafe.

Removal: Removing existing roof material will add to the cost of new roof. You can rent an industrial dumpster from the local waste or haul off all the old shingles into a truck. The county regulations may charge you some amount for dumping because asphalt shingles are petroleum products. Most communities are responsible to monitor the disposal of such materials at every dumping zone.

Supplies: If the roof structure beneath is in a good condition then there will be only the cost of purchasing the shingles, the nails and the roofing felt and nothing else.

Are you looking for more information on Cost New Roof?

There are many questions when it comes to garage wall storage, and these are listed below. After you have read them, you will be able to determine if this is something you want to do for your garage organization. You will understand what they are used for, why people use them, and what other things you can do to stay organized.

What are they used for?

Basically, the most common thing that this kind of storage is used for is storing tools on the wall. However, there are wall cabinets that you can hang up as well to store stuff.

You would not use this for anything heavy, if you can EASILY lift it above your head without straining yourself, then it could go in the cabinet.

The easiest form is the wall board, where you get a peg board, and hang your tools on it. Some people even outline them to now exactly where they go, this keeps things pretty organized

Why do you need to use them?

You need to keep everything in its place. This way you, and hopefully other people will be able to find things when and if they need them.

It keep’s things looking good, because it prevents them from getting scratched, things being dropped on them, or anything else that might damage your things.

Is there any other alternatives?

You don’t need to use a wall storage, there are other options. However, all of them best work together. So you can get some storage bins, wall boards, wire racks, shelving units, and even special drawers to keep small stuff in them, like screws and what not.

Hanging tools on the wall, heavier things on the ground, but still away and in its place. And if you have bikes, you can easily suspend them from the ceiling with special hooks, or even racks that are designed especially for bikes.

Really, the sky is the limit, if you plan it right, you can have a very well organized garage, and never have to worry about clutter again.

Using as many different kinds of storage strategies together will give you a more organized garage, that even if you give some vague directions to someone, they will be able to find what they are looking for.

As you can see, using garage wall storage as a part of your garage organization, will allow you to keep things neat and tidy for a long time to come. Plus, your stuff will stay in good working order, and everyone who is looking for something should be able to find it without much trouble at all.

Now that you know the basics what is going to be the best garage wall storage to suit your garage.
Until recently DIY guides for alternative energy have been limited to solar power. You probably already know that solar power can only produce enough electricity to heat your bath water.

Another downside of DIY solar power is that you still need to buy the expensive solar cells and there is no way of getting around it.

Magnetic electric generators on the other hand are a true DIY enthusiast’s dream. This is because you can buy all the materials and parts needed to build them at any good DIY store.

Once you’ve got your DIY plans, it’s off to you local store and your away! You can start the building process which we all know is the real fun part!

Even the magnets are just standard household magnets like the ones found in stereo speakers.

This really is ‘do it yourself electricity’. There is no need for any special tools.

Depending on how big you build the generator, it can power your whole house. You can also build a smaller scale version that can reduce your electricity bill by half. The DIY guides let you decide the scale.

It really just depends on your own DIY skills.

Many people decide to build a small one first and then see the amazing potential and build a larger one that enables them to say goodbye to electricity bills forever!

Once you have your DIY Plans there is nothing to stop you. You can produce your own electricity and there’s nothing the big electric companies can do about it!

Go to http://BuildYourOwnGenerator.info and see for yourself.

Ever wonder why some people buy antique floor lamps? Find out why, and maybe you should buy one for yourself as well. Floor lamps are very useful when it comes to lighting the house. They can be placed anywhere as long as there is a floor. While some people will use it for the sole purpose of lighting an area, some people would get one to collect, especially antique ones.

Most vendors will only sell you vintage style lamps. Notice the word style in it because it means they are reproductions of antiques. Obviously, the cost of it is much cheaper than finding a real vintage lamp. Collectors might pay 6-figure on a real one if they are collecting it. Some museums will carry and preserve lamps that were made in the early 20th century.

Be careful when making a purchase for real antique floor lamps. There are people who prey on beginners who are not familiar with real and fake lamps. You need to study antiques if you are going to become a collector for lamps. Places such as eBay, have quite a few people selling fake lamps. They promise that they are authentic, and slap a cheap price on it. If it is cheap, then it is too good to be true.

The prices will vary depending on the demand and how old the lamp is. There are lamp collection guides out there to tell you how to tell the quality of the lamps as well as figure out the estimate cost.

Look for cheap floor lamps that are both low cost and high quality.
